To inform our decisions as to which streets were most
in need of work, a pavement survey was conducted, and
each block was given one of the following scores:
Excellent: New pavement, with no need for repair.
Good: No major defects were found in the pavement.
Fair: Minor paving problems were found that do not impact driving
Poor: Defects in the pavement can affect driving on these streets.
Very Poor: Medium-sized defects were found, moderately affecting driving.
Failure: Large pieces of pavement are missing, and driving is severly impacted.
Not Surveyed:Survey information is unavailable as these streets were either under construction during the pavement assessment or they are maintained by the State. For questions related to streets in Orleans Parish that are maintained by the State, please contact the Department of Transportation and Development Public Information Office at 1-877-452-3683.
