Command Construction Industries, LLC has completed all the utility work on the river side of S. Galvez Street between Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and Toledano Street. Traffic on Toledano Street has resumed to two lanes. The river side traffic is detoured to S. Claiborne Avenue and S. Broad Street for the duration of construction. Poor weather continues to delay this project; construction is now scheduled to last until the spring of 2019.

The New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center is currently reconstructing Convention Center Boulevard between Poydras and Henderson streets in the Warehouse District. The construction is part of the $557 million Convention Center Development District Project that includes converting Convention Center Boulevard into a landscaped public park.

The Department of Public Works’ construction contractors are approximately 50 percent complete implementing the S. Broad Street Improvement Project between Erato Street and Tulane Avenue.

Final inspections have been completed on the St. Charles (Louisiana Avenue to Napoleon Avenue) Resurfacing project, a joint effort between the City of New Orleans and the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development.
