FILMORE SOUTH GROUP A FINAL WALKTHROUGH NEARLY COMPLETE

Hard Rock Construction Co., LLC is surveying a near-finished construction project with the $4.4M Filmore South Group A project. The new streets, curbs, sidewalks and drainage features will raise the quality of life for residents in the project area.

FILMORE NORTH GROUP B CREWS MOVE TO STREETS, CONTINUE WATERLINE REPAIR

Hard Rock Construction Co., LLC is moving toward street construction on Charlotte Drive and working to replace and repair utility lines in the $4.2M Filmore North Group B project. This project will greatly benefit the Upper Gentilly neighborhood by providing better drainage and roads for residents. The project is expected to be complete this summer.

WATERLINE, DRAINAGE LINE WORK CONTINUES ON LAKE TERRACE AND OAKS GROUP D PROJECT

Boh Bros Construction Co., LLC crews completed drainage line placements and installations on Oriole Street in late December on the Lake Terrace and Oaks Group D infrastructure improvement project. Crews continue to work in close collaboration with the Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans to install new waterlines within the project limits. Crews are also working on Oriole and Kildeer streets but have now shifted to accommodate COX Communications activity happening in this area. Residents will be notified ahead of any work that will involve utility disruptions and / or impacts to parking and access to their street.

GENTILLY RESILIENCE DISTRICT UPDATES

The Cantrell Administration is working with the existing pump capacity by building additional storage around the city utilizing parks, vacant land, and innovative streetscaping to create temporary storage to hold rain during those big events while the pumps catch up.  This approach, combined with efficiencies to the pump system to get the most capacity of the pumps and reliably provide power to the system, as well as our ongoing effort to keep litter out of the drainage system, is our immediate priority to get the most out of the existing system.

TREME-LAFITTE GROUP B SEWER SYSTEM EVALUATION AND REHABILATION PROGRAM (SSERP) WORK CONTINUES

This month, Command Construction Industries crews are performing sewer line replacements on North Rocheblave Street at Orleans Avenue, St. Peters Street at North Robertson Street, St. Ann at North Prier Street to Interstate 10, and St. Ann Street at North Prier Street to Orleans Avenue. The work is part of the Treme-Lafitte Group B infrastructure improvement project.
