Wallace C. Drennan, Inc. crews have completed paving operations throughout the Lower Ninth Ward Northwest Group B project, moving the project close to 80 percent complete. Crews will continue work on the 2100-2300 blocks of Reynes Street this spring, moving the project into substantial completion.

Fleming Construction Co., LLC crews, in close collaboration with Sewerage and Water Board New Orleans, continued water line tie-ins throughout the Lower Ninth Ward Northeast Group B infrastructure improvement project this month. Crews are connecting new waterlines to the communities’ existing water supply and they expect to begin paving operations immediately after all connections are completed. Residents will continue to be notified of work that will impact their access and/or cause disruption to their utilities.

Command Construction Industries, LLC crews, repaved areas throughout the Little Woods Group A project this month.   After passing pre-pour inspections, additional paving is scheduled throughout the project, including areas of East Tameron, West Tameron, Queensway and East Renaissance streets.

The $3.2M Pines Village Group B project has been declared substantially complete. Clean-up and punch list items wrapped up in early April and the construction team did a final walk-through to confirm completion.  

Crews from Wallace D. Drennan Inc. finished working on the water service lines along Morrison Road and started the move to Jourdan Road to begin the same process. Sewer line point repairs continued on East Laverne, Dorian, and South Laverne streets, and construction crews began laying the binder layer of asphalt along East Laverne, East Hermes and parts of Majestic Oaks. The binder layer is one of the final steps in roadway restoration.
