The Department of Public Works’ construction contractor, Fleming Construction Co., LLC, is progressing well on the $4.7M Lower Ninth Ward Northwest Group A, which began in December 2017.

The Department of Public Works’ construction contractor, Roubion Roads and Streets, LLC. is approximately 50 percent complete with replacing damaged concrete panels on Bullard Avenue between Hayne Boulevard and Chef Menteur Highway.

The Department of Public Works’ construction contractor, Barriere Construction, LLC., is approximately 25 percent complete with the repaving Curran Boulevard project. This project is scheduled to be completed in the spring.  

Command Construction Industries, LLC crews are currently moving traffic control signs and barrels into the neighborhood and beginning to mark out future excavation sites. This is the first of two construction projects planned for the Read Boulevard West neighborhood. Bounded by Dwyer Road, Read Boulevard, Flake Avenue and Chef Menteur Highway. 

The first of six FEMA-funded construction projects that will improve infrastructure in the New Orleans East area between Read Boulevard, Interstate-510, Chef Menteur Highway and Interstate-10—known formally as the Read Boulevard East neighborhood—is now underway. The approximately $3.9M construction contract was awarded to Hard Rock Construction, LLC and includes a variety of construction types.
