Wallace C. Drennan, Inc. crews have completed paving operations throughout the Lower Ninth Ward Northwest Group B project, moving the project close to 80 percent complete. Crews will continue work on the 2100-2300 blocks of Reynes Street this spring, moving the project into substantial completion.

Fleming Construction Co., LLC crews, in close collaboration with the Sewerage and Water Board New Orleans, continue waterline tie-ins throughout the Lower Ninth Ward Northeast Group B infrastructure improvement project area. Crews are actively connecting new waterlines to the community’s existing water supply on Tonti, North Rocheblave, St. Maurice and Tueplo streets. More tie-ins are planned this month. Residents will continue to be notified of work that will impact vehicular access and / or cause disruptions to their utilities.

In March, Command Construction, LLC crews, repaved areas throughout the Little Woods Group A infrastructure improvement project. After passing pre-pour inspections, paving is scheduled throughout the project, including areas of Lake Carmel, Lehigh, Morrison and Yardley streets.

Mayor LaToya Cantrell recently joined a group of elected officials, school and community leaders to celebrate the completion of all but a handful of the Read East Group B, Group C, and Group D projects.  When combined, these projects represent $13M worth of infrastructure investments as part of the Department of Public Works and the Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans' Joint Infrastructure Program.

The contractor wrapped up the final punch list items this month on the $7.3M Village De L’Est Group B project and it has been declared substantially complete.  The project started in July 2019, and the presentation from the June 2019 public meeting is available here.
