The $3.2M Pines Village Group B project is nearing completion and the contractor is working through some final clean-up and punch list items. The project is expected to be declared substantially complete this month. 

In March, construction crews from Wallace C. Drennan, Inc. began milling roadways on East Hermes Street, Lamb Road and Majestic Oaks Drive, and continued waterline repairs on East Hermes. In addition, work included roadway removal along South Laverne and Morrison Road, and sewer line work continued on the 6200 block of Morrison Road, 5900 block of Beechcraft, 6000 block of Boeing, 4400 block of Stemway and the 7100 block of East Hermes.  Water main installations are now complete on Dwyer Road, Majestic Oaks Drive, Morrison Road east of Foch, Townsend Place, Stemway Drive, and Virgilian and East Laverne streets.

Palmisano Construction crews, in close collaboration with Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans, continued waterline work on the Read Boulevard West Group C project in March.  Crews plan to continue waterline and paving work through the month of April.  The project is on course for completion in fall 2021. 

The Department of Public Works (DPW), Command Construction Industries, LLC, and the Louisiana Department of Transportation (LADOTD) continue to prepare for work along Downman Road as part of the $6.4M Viavant-Lake Catherine Group C project.  Work on Downman Road will require a temporary traffic shift; residents and businesses will be notified in advance.

Durr Heavy Construction continues to make progress on the Village De L’est Group C project. This month, crews are working on North Nemours Street and will remain in the area through early spring. Work on this street includes roadway excavation, water, sewer and drainage line installations, and sidewalk restoration. Water line tie-ins are expected to begin in March.
