The $4.8 million Lower Ninth Ward Northwest Group A project is currently 90 percent complete and on schedule to be wrapped up in November, weather permitting. The Department of Public Works’ construction contractor Fleming Construction Co., LLC has finished all concrete roadways on the project and plans to wrap up all asphalt work during the month of October. 

City of New Orleans contractor Beverly Construction LLC continues to work on Saturdays on the Lower Ninth Ward Northeast Group A project to make up for time lost during the Labor Day holiday and inclement weather days.

As progress continues on the $4.8M Lower Ninth Ward Northwest Group A project, the Department of Public Works’ construction contractor, Fleming Construction Co., LLC, removed barricades on several streets including the 1600 block of Caffin Avenue.

City of New Orleans contractor Beverly Construction LLC worked some weekends in July on the  Lower Ninth Ward Northeast Group A to make up for time lost due to rain. Crews worked on the eastern area (bounded by North Claiborne Avenue, Jackson Barracks, Florida Avenue and Caffin Avenue) to remove damaged roadway and sidewalks and form / pour Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant curb ramps.  

The Department of Public Works’ construction contractor, Fleming Construction Co., LLC, in collaboration with the Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans, continues to replace water lines on the $4.8M Lower Ninth Ward Northwest Group A project. Tie-ins to the existing meters are expected to begin in August.
