NEW WATERLINES ADDED TO 22nd STREET

The City of New Orleans, in collaboration with Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans, will add a new water line to 22nd Street (Fleur de lis Drive  to Pontchartrain Boulevard) on the  West End Group A project. This additional work is currently being designed to address the shallow water line and ensure the roadway elevation meets the appropriate design specifications. This newly approved work will begin in early 2020.

MORE ROADWAYS REOPEN ON THE WEST END GROUP A PROJECT

Beverly Construction completed several blocks on the West End Group A project this month, including portions of Avenue A and 20th Street. Crews expect to complete more roadways during the month of October.  Residents will continue to be notified of water line tie-ins that may cause service interruptions, work schedule changes and activity that may limit access to driveways and walkways.

BEVERLY CREWS CONTINUE TO WORK WEEKENDS TO REMAIN ON SCHEDULE

Beverly Construction crews are working weekends to ensure that the West End Group A  project remains on schedule. Weekend work mainly consists of forming the roadway in preparation for concrete pours that would be performed during the following week.  Residents will continue to be notified of water line tie-ins that may cause service interruptions, work schedule changes and activity that may limit access to driveways and walkways.

CREWS BEGIN ADDITIONAL SCOPE OF WORK ON WEST END GROUP A PROJECT

Beverly Construction crews began the newly approved full depth construction on several blocks throughout the West End Group A  Patch Mill, Overlay and Incidental Road Repairs project. Excavation in preparation for installing new waterlines is underway on several blocks.  Residents will continue to be notified of water line tie-ins that may cause service interruptions, work schedule changes and activity that will limit access to driveways and walkways.

ADDITIONAL WORK APPROVED ON WEST END GROUP A PROJECT

As a result of several compromised waterlines in the West End Group A  project area, FEMA has granted approval for an upgrade to full depth reconstruction  on 10th, 12th, 18th, 20th and 22nd streets.
