The $4.3M Patch, Mill and Overlay (repaving) project on St. Charles Avenue moved into its second phase of construction immediately after Mardi Gras 2017.
The scope of work includes:
- Repaving the asphalt roadway from curb-to-curb;
- Installing American with Disabilities Act-compliant curb;
- Installing ramps at intersections; and
- Replacing / repairing damaged underground water, sewer, and/or drainage lines.
Crews are currently working from Louisiana Ave. to Third St. milling and constructing curbs in the area of the iconic streetcar line.
The project is a joint effort between the City of New Orleans and Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development. The project was designed by Linfield Hunter & Junius, LLC and is being constructed by Boh Brothers Construction, LLC.
