The State of Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), working with the City of New Orleans will begin a patch, mill and overlay project on St. Charles Avenue between Louisiana and Napoleon Avenues. The $1.3 million project is scheduled to begin in May and will take approximately five months to complete.
In early May, the contractor and licensed arborist will complete tree trimming activities to prepare the site for construction.
This project is designed by Linfield, Hunter and Junius Inc. and was awarded to Barriere Construction Co., LLC.
The scope of work will include:
- Repaving the asphalt roadway from curb-to-curb;
- Repairing damaged sidewalks and driveway aprons;
- Installing Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant curb ramps at intersections; and
- Replacing/repairing damaged underground water, sewer, and/or drainage lines when applicable.
