With the $2M addition to the project scope, the Algiers area schedule is now extended to be complete in summer 2019.
Due to high Mississippi River levels, work in the Algiers Point area has been delayed until late April 2019, tentatively, when water levels drop. Currently, Durr Heavy Construction Co., is completing work in the McDonogh neighborhood and then mobilizing to the Tall Timbers-Bechtel area.
Residents are asked to be mindful of No Parking signs installed prior to roadwork. Vehicles are eligible for towing if not moved within 24 hours once signs are installed.
The Westbank Group A project is the first of two planned FEMA-funded construction projects on the Westbank of New Orleans.
