On Monday, April 20, Hard Rock Construction, LLC closed the intersection of Dauphine and St. Ann streets for approximately three weeks to accommodate utility upgrades that have been added to the St. Ann Full Depth Reconstruction Project. Last month, the project was halted indefinitely due to high water levels in the Mississippi River and the proximity of the project area to the Mississippi River levees; however, this added scope falls outside of the 1,500-foot restricted area. 

Construction began on the $7M West Bank Group B project in March. The project was designed by Buchart Horn Inc. and is being constructed by Fleming Construction Company LLC. This summer the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) will begin an improvement project along North Claiborne between Poydras Street and St. Bernard Avenue. The project will also include LA 39 from St. Bernard Avenue to the west side of the Judge Seeber Bridge.
