The $4.3M St. Charles Ave. Repaving Project, designed to remove and replace damaged portions of the asphalt roadway between Louisiana Ave. and Calliope St., is approximately 40 percent complete.
The scope of work includes:
- Repaving the asphalt roadway from curb-to-curb;
- Repairing damaged sidewalks and driveway aprons;
- Installing American with Disabilities Act-compliant curb ramps at intersections; and
The project is scheduled to move into its third and final phase of construction in late August with crews beginning work between Felicity St. and Calliope St. Crews are working amended hours to accommodate days lost due to weather. Residents and businesses will continue to be notified of any temporary road closures or service interruptions ahead of schedule.
The project was designed by Linfield Hunter & Junius, LLC and is being constructed by Boh Bros. Construction, LLC.
The overall project is expected to be completed in early 2018.
