Command Construction Industries, LLC crews have currently completed 16 percent of the Read Boulevard West Group A project construction. This is the first of two projects planned in the neighborhood.
Construction crews have identified a number of drainage line failures during excavation activities and the project team is working to identify a mechanism to make such repairs now. Drainage improvements were not included in the project’s original scope of work.
Crews have altered their original schedule of 5 days, 8 hours a days to 4 days, 11 hours a day per week. Concrete pours are scheduled as frequently as once a week. View the project map noting locations of planned work in the area here.
The scope work varies by block but includes the following types of work:
- Patch Mill / Overlay: Repaving the asphalt roadway from curb to curb and repairing damaged sidewalks;
- Patch Concrete: Removing damaged portions of the concrete roadway and replacing them with new, smooth concrete pavement;
- Incidental Road Repairs: Removing damaged portions of the asphalt roadway and replacing them with new, smooth pavement; and
- Non-Paving Incidentals: Repairing damaged sidewalks, driveway aprons and curbs within the public right-of-way.
