City of New Orleans contractor, Hard Rock Construction, LLC, continues to perform waterline replacements on the Lakewood Group A Patch, Mill, Overlay and Incidental Road Repair project. Crews have completed the installations on Marcia Avenue and begun the repaving process to give residents access to their driveways. Waterline replacements on Harney Street are expected to be complete by the end of August – with repaving to begin immediatley following.
Residents will continue to be notified in advance of any scheduled temporary disruptions to water service during this critical phase of work.
The scope of work for this $1.6M project variesby block but includes the following:
- Patching the roadway with asphalt;
- Replacing damaged portions of concrete with new, level concrete;
- Repairing damaged curbs and gutters;
- Repairing damaged sidewalks and driveway aprons;
- Installing Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant curb ramps at intersections; and
- Replacing/repairing damaged underground water and drainage lines.
