LAKE TERRACE CONTRACTORS EXPEDITE SIDEWALK REPAIRS IN ADVANCE OF HOLIDAY

City of New Orleans Department of Public Works contractor Palmisano Construction implemented successive street closures in order to complete excavating (removing the top layer of road) and begin forming and pouring sidewalks, streets, curbs and driveway aprons in advance of the holiday season. Crews are scheduled to complete all work in this area before Christmas.

SECOND PHASE OF WORK CONTINUES ON LAKESHORE GROUP A PROJECT

City of New Orleans contractor The Three C's Properties, Inc. completed work within the first phase of the Lakeshore Group A  project. The original scope of work in the first phase, bounded by Orleans Avenue and Canal Boulevard, is complete. The second phase, bounded by West End Boulevard and Canal Boulevard has started and is expected to be complete by early spring 2019.

CREWS WORK TO COMPLETE ADDITIONAL SCOPE OF WORK IN GENTILLY TERRACE

The Gentilly Terrace Group A project has moved into substantial completion pending the conclusion of additional scope on Acacia Street. City of New Orleans contractor Roubion Shoring & Construction crews are currently fully reconstructing the roadway on Acacia Street.

FRENCH QUARTER INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT – PHASE 2

The City of New Orleans, Department of Public Works and Sewerage & Water Board began a full reconstruction project on Bourbon Street from St. Louis to Dumaine streets (500-800 blocks) on September 17, 2018. Work is occurring sequentially from the 500 – 800 blocks, with ONLY one block fenced off at a time throughout construction.  All businesses along this corridor are open and accessible throughout construction. 

WESTBANK FEMA-FUNDED ROADWORK CONTRACT NOW 40 PERCENT COMPLETE

WESTBANK FEMA-FUNDED ROADWORK CONTRACT NOW 40 PERCENT COMPLETE

Durr Heavy Construction, LLC crews are currently 40 percent complete with the Westbank Group A project scope. Crews are working in the Algiers Point neighborhood and scheduled to be in Algiers Point until the spring of 2019. Crews are also using a portion of the batture area as a staging and laydown yard. The staging area is contractually required to be returned to its original condition at the conclusion of construction.
