The Gentilly Terrace Group A project has moved into substantial completion pending the conclusion of additional scope on Acacia Street. City of New Orleans contractor Roubion Shoring & Construction crews are currently fully reconstructing the roadway on Acacia Street.
Department of Public Works and Sewerage and Water Board project managers will continue to inspect completed areas. The entire project is expected to be complete by January 2019.
This $2.2M project includes the following types of work:
- Patch Mill / Overlay: Repaving the asphalt roadway from curb to curb and repairing damaged sidewalks;
- Patch Concrete: Removing damaged portions of the concrete roadway and replacing it with new smooth concrete pavement;
- Incidental Road Repairs: Removing damaged portions of the asphalt roadway and replacing it with new smooth pavement; and
- Non-Paving Incidentals: Repairing damaged sidewalks, driveway aprons and curbs within the public right-of-way.
