Command Construction Industries, LLC is scheduled to begin work on the Treme-Lafitte Group B full-depth reconstruction project during the first quarter of 2021, which is an updated notice to proceed (NTP) from the original October 2020, time period.

Hard Rock Construction, LLC crews began concrete pours on roadways and curbs at the end of November and continue to carry out this scope of work on the Pontchartrain Park Group A  project. Crews have excavated the previous roadway and poured new, smooth roadways on Mendez Street between Piety Street and Congress Drive, and on Debore Street between Prentiss Avenue and Madrid Street. Additional crews are also continuing water main line installation and tie-in work on Madrid Street and Congress Drive, Debore Street and Prentiss Avenue, Pauline Drive and Madrid Street, and Pauline Drive and St. Ferdinand Street. 

Beverly Construction Co., LLC began water line repair work on Harrison Avenue as part of the St. Bernard Group A project in September 2020.  Crews have installed new and improved water line systems on blocks between Harrison Avenue and Alfred Street. As of early December 2020, the project is at 10 percent completion. The community continues to be receptive of the work. We will continue our efforts of ensuring the project site is safe and working to reduce as many residential inconveniences as possible.

Bioswale adjustments, winter planting and security fencing are a few of the construction projects that Fleming Construction and Twin Shores are working on to complete the flood protection system in historic Pontchartrain Park neighborhood.

The $4.5M St. Claude Group E project is set to begin construction in December 2020. This project was designed Design Engineering, Inc. and will be constructed by Hard Rock Construction, LLC. Click here to view a map of the project scope. The project is expected to be completed in winter 2021.
