Boh Bros Construction Co., LLC crews, in close collaboration with Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans, continued the installation of water lines on the Lake Terrace and Oaks Group D project this month. Crews are currently working on Oriole and Kildeer streets and will continue to inform residents ahead of any work that will involve utility disruption and/or impact their parking and access to their street.
Construction on this full depth reconstruction project started in June and is expected to be complete in summer 2021, weather permitting. Scope of work for the $5.8M project may include:
- Replace damaged underground water, sewer and drainage lines;
- Repave the roadway;
- Replace damaged sidewalks and driveway aprons; and
- Install Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant curb ramps at intersections.
Mott MacDonald is the project designer. The project is funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). A community conference call about the project was held on May 20, 2020. You can access the presentation from that call here.
