The $4.2M Filmore North Group B project began construction in July 2020 and continues to make significant progress in improving the infrastructure of this Gentilly neighborhood. Designed by Professional Engineering Consultants (PEC) Corporation, the project is being constructed by Fleming Construction Company, LLC. Despite delays due to hurricane preparation in September and October, the contractor has made significant progress throughout the project scope. The project is expected to be completed in summer 2021.

Click here to view a map of the project. The scope of work varies by block and includes some water line replacements as well as:

• Patch Mill/Overlay: Repaving the asphalt roadway from curb to curb and repair damaged sidewalks;
• Patch Concrete: Removing damaged portions of the concrete roadway and replace it with new smooth concrete pavement;
• Incidental Road Repairs: Removing damaged portions of the asphalt roadway and replace it with new smooth pavement; and
• Non-Paving Incidentals: Repairing damaged sidewalks, driveway aprons and curbs within the public right-of-way.
