A $3M full road reconstruction project is slated to start in early 2021 in New Orleans East. Scope of work for the Old Spanish Trail (Nighthart St. - Sherwood Dr.) varies by block but will include:

• Repaving the asphalt and concrete roadway from curb-to-curb in some areas;
• Patching the roadway with asphalt in some areas;
• Repairing some damaged sidewalks and driveway aprons;
• Installing American with Disability Act-compliant curb ramp at intersections; and
• Replacing/repairing damaged underground water lines.
