The Department of Public Works’ construction contractor, Barriere Construction, LLC, is nearly complete with repaving Curran Boulevard between Crowder Boulevard and Mayo Boulevard.
Curb and gutter work is complete, and crews are placing fresh asphalt on the roadway. Asphalt operations are on schedule to be completed at the end of the month, weather permitting.
The scope of work includes:
- Removing and replacing damaged asphalt pavement;
- Repairing damaged catch basins;
- Installing new Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant curb ramps at appropriate intersections; and
- Making minimal sidewalk, driveway apron and foot lap adjustments.
Throughout the duration of construction, parking may be limited within the construction zone. Residents should plan to park at other locations and allow additional time to reach their destinations.
In general, construction crews will be working from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Saturday work may occur when inclement weather prevents work from occurring as scheduled the previous week. Residents are reminded to use caution when driving, bicycling and walking near active construction sites.
