Crews remobilized on the $4.3M St. Charles Avenue Repaving Project on February 14 to complete the final phase between Felicity Street and Calliope Street. The project is a joint effort between the City of New Orleans and Louisiana Department of Transportation & Development (LaDOTD).
The scope of the project includes removing and replacing damaged portions of the asphalt roadway between Louisiana Avenue and Calliope Street.
Currently, crews are performing the following tasks:
- Placing asphalt on both eastbound and westbound travel lanes, and parking lanes on St. Charles Avenue; and
- Cleaning and removing all debris by the end of this month.
The City of New Orleans’ construction contractor Boh Bros. Construction Co. LLC is working extended hours and most weekends for the remainder of the project to meet the late-February completion deadline.
