The $3.6M FEMA-funded project is the second in the Read Boulevard East area. The project was designed by Evans-Graves Engineers Inc. and contracted to Beverly Construction Inc. Construction began on late January 2020. Crews are currently performing water line work on the 4700 block of Good Drive. The block will be completed in one to two months. Simultaneously, crews are also working on the roadway on Nottingham Drive. Weather permitting, the work on Nottingham Drive should be completed in mid-March.
The scope work varies by block but includes the following types of work:
- Patch Mill / Overlay: Repaving the asphalt roadway from curb to curb and repairing damaged sidewalks;
- Patch Concrete: Removing damaged portions of the concrete roadway and replacing it with new smooth concrete pavement;
- Incidental Road Repairs: Removing damaged portions of the asphalt roadway and replacing it with new smooth pavement; and
- Non-Paving Incidentals: Repairing damaged sidewalks, driveway aprons and curbs within the public right-of-way.
