The Filmore North Group A project is currently estimated at $6.5M, an increase of approximately $2M from the original project scope. The project is currently on track to be completed in early spring 2020.
The estimated budget for all planned work throughout the entire Filmore neighborhood—including engineering, design, geotechnical testing and construction—is approximately $67M.
Designed by Professional Engineering Consultants Corporation (PEC), the project work varies by block and includes some waterline replacements as well as:
- Patch Mill/Overlay: Repaving the asphalt roadway from curb to curb and repair damaged sidewalks;
- Patch Concrete: Removing damaged portions of the concrete roadway and replace it with new smooth concrete pavement;
- Incidental Road Repairs: Removing damaged portions of the asphalt roadway and replace it with new smooth pavement; and
- Non-Paving Incidentals: Repairing damaged sidewalks, driveway aprons and curbs within the public right-of-way.
The City of New Orleans hosted a pre-construction community meeting in January 2019 to discuss anticipated construction impacts. View a copy of the presentation here. To be added to the project contact list and track our progress, visit RoadWork.nola.gov.
