The Mid-City Group A project was designed by Infinity Engineering and is being constructed by Hard Rock Construction, LLC. The entire project was originally scheduled to be complete this fall; however, additional scope has been added. All work is now anticipated to be complete in spring 2021.
By the end of March, weather permitting, the roadway in the following areas will be paved with base course and drive-able:
- 100 & 300 blocks of S. Clark Street
- 4400 block of Conti
- Intersection of Conti and N. Solomon streets
- 3500 block of Cleveland Avenue
- 100 S. Genois Street
- 100 N. Murat Street
- 300 N. Olympia Street
- 3400, 3700 – 4000 blocks of Palmyra Street
- 100 – 200 blocks of S. Solomon Street
- 3500 & 4200 blocks of Toulouse Street
Barricades and cones will be removed from the abovementioned streets to allow for easier maneuvering. Roadways in these areas are expected to be completed in May.
Residents are asked to be mindful of ‘No Parking’ signs installed prior to roadwork. Vehicles are eligible for towing if not moved within 24 hours once signs are in place.

The scope for the $6.3M project varies by block, but includes the following types of work:
- Patch Mill/Overlay: Repaving the asphalt roadway from curb to curb and repairing damaged sidewalks;
- Patch Concrete: Removing damaged portions of the concrete roadway and replacing it with new smooth concrete pavement;
- Incidental Road Repairs: Removing damaged portions of the asphalt roadway and replacing it with new smooth pavement; and
- Non-Paving Incidentals: Repairing damaged sidewalks, driveway aprons and curbs within the public right-of-way.
