In February, Command Construction Industries, LLC crews, in close collaboration with the Sewerage and Water Board New Orleans, resumed waterline work on the Little Woods Group A infrastructure improvement project. This month, crews plan to begin tying in the newly installed lines. In addition to water line work, the Department of Public Works (DPW) and its inspectors continued pre-pour inspections on the project area. These inspections ensure that everything is properly constructed prior to placement of the final layer of concrete or asphalt. Roadway paving operations are set to be completed this month, including the areas of Lake Carmel, Lehigh, Morrison and Yardley streets.

The Read Boulevard Group D project is nearing completion as crews worked weekends in an effort to continue progress and address punch list items. Beverly Construction Co. began work on this $3.3M infrastructure improvement project in March 2020 and plan to wrap up all construction in early March 2021.

Palmisano Construction crews, working closely with the Department of Public Works, began the final walkthroughs on the Read East Boulevard Group C project. After paving operations are wrapped up, crews will finalize the inspections needed to certify this project as complete in March 2021.

Beverly Construction Co., in close collaboration with the Department of Public Works, began a final walkthrough on the Read Boulevard East Group B project in December. Final punch list items are expected to be complete in March.

The contractor began wrapping up the final punch list items on the Village De L’Est Group B project in February. The $7.3M infrastructure improvement project in New Orleans East has been declared substantially complete.
