Command Construction Industries, LLC, has mobilized crews as work on the Treme-Lafitte Group B full-depth reconstruction project started in February. This represents an updated notice to proceed (NTP) from the original October 2020 period.
SSERP work has begun on the 2500 block of St. Peter Street, which involves the evaluation and rehabilitation of the current sanitation sewage system. This work is in preparation for future sewer line improvements on the project.
Residents have received notice of work involving utility disruptions and / or the impact of parking and access to their street.
This $8M project was designed by Meyers Engineering, LTD. The scope of work varies block by block but includes the following:
- Resurfacing the roadway with asphalt or concrete;
- Repairing damaged curbs;
- Repairing damaged sidewalks and driveway aprons;
- Installing Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-compliant curb ramps at intersections; and
- Replacing / repairing damaged underground water, and drainage lines.
