The Department of Public Works’ construction contractor, Roubion Roads and Streets, LLC. is approximately 50 percent complete with replacing damaged concrete panels on Bullard Avenue between Hayne Boulevard and Chef Menteur Highway.
This $350K improvement project is scheduled to be completed in February.
Roubion’s scope of work includes:
- Removing and replacing damaged concrete panels;
- Installing new Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant curb ramps at appropriate intersections; and
- Making minimal sidewalk, driveway apron and foot lap adjustments.
Throughout the duration of construction, parking may be limited within the construction zone. Residents should plan to park at other locations and expect traffic delays/allow additional time to reach their destinations.
In general, construction crews will be working from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Saturday work may occur when inclement weather prevents work from occurring as scheduled the previous week. Residents are reminded to use caution when driving, bicycling and walking near active construction sites.
