Unforeseen site conditions altered the scope and schedule of the Youth Study Center Streets Construction Project in the Pilotland neighborhood. The project is now scheduled to be complete in February 2018. Dieudonne Enterprises, LLC construction crews had temporarily demobilized from the site as they awaited approval to increase the planned scope of work.
Additional work includes repaving Davey Street from Senate Street and Harrison Avenue, installing additional new sidewalks and Americans with Disabilities Act compliant-ramps at intersections and minor landscaping.
The $2.4M project improves access to the recently-built McDonogh 35 High School and the Youth Study Center. This is the second of three projects that will improve the conditions of infrastructure in the St. Bernard neighborhood.
