Beverly Construction Co., in close collaboration with the Department of Public Works, began a final walkthrough on the Read Boulevard East Group B project in December. Final punch list items are expected to be complete this month.

A $3M full road reconstruction project is slated to start in February in New Orleans East. The scope of work for the Old Spanish Trail (Nighthart St.- Sherwood Dr.) varies by block.

Beverly Construction Co. crews finished all roadway restoration work and began clean-up activities in the Village De L’Est Group B project area this month. Crews are finishing installation of sidewalks and driveway aprons and the contractor is addressing a few punch list items but the $7.3M Village De L’Est Group B infrastructure improvement project in New Orleans East was declared substantially complete in January.

The $3.2M Pines Village Group B project is nearing completion. Pavement restoration work is more than 95 percent complete with crews finishing up sidewalks and driveway aprons. Site-wide clean-up has begun and the construction team is developing a punch list of final items to be addressed. The project is expected to be substantially complete next month. 

In January, crews continued working on sewer and drain lines along East Laverne Street and performed water line work on Stemway Drive. Additional scope will be included as part of the project on Stemway Drive between Chef Menteur Highway and Warfield Street. The roadway was originally scheduled for incidental road repairs but it was determined that road conditions merited pavement replacement and milling overlay by the Warfield Street intersection. The project is estimated to be completed in late 2021, weather permitting.
