Fleming Construction Co., LLC, CDM Smith, and the Department of Public Works engineers are working to finalize the green alleyways, paint striping and stormwater lots that are part of the $15M flood protection system in the historic Pontchartrain Park neighborhood.

The $4.5M St. Claude Group E project is set to begin construction in January 2021. This project was designed by Hatch Engineering and will be constructed by Boh Bros. Construction. The $7.3M St. Claude Group C project broke ground in March 2020 and continues its significant progress by improving infrastructure in the St. Claude neighborhood. This full-depth reconstruction project was designed by Rahman & Associates Inc. and is being constructed by Durr Heavy Construction, LLC. The current focus of work remains on Montegut, St. Ferdinand and Port streets as the contractor moves toward project completion, which is expected by late summer 2021, weather permitting.

The $3.4M St. Roch South Group B project, which broke ground in September 2020, continues to progress on schedule. This full-depth reconstruction project was designed by HNTB Corporation and is being constructed by Durr Heavy Construction, LLC. The current focus of excavation and roadway construction on Industry Street will continue in the coming month. The project is expected to be completed in fall 2021. 

Robin Roads and Streets, LLC are in the beginning phases of construction that will bring much needed infrastructure improvements to the community. Contractors are currently adding new water lines before they undertake more serious road construction.
