Beginning on Monday, February 1 through Saturday, February 13, 2021, the lake bound lanes of Canal Street between Decatur and Royal streets will be closed to vehicular traffic. The closure is necessary to facilitate a series of crane lifts to replace cooling towers at 555 Canal Street. Commuters are advised to use caution when driving, bicycling and walking near this area.
Lane closure signage will be in place throughout the process on the lake bound side of Canal Street. Two-way traffic operations will be in place on the river bound side of Canal Street to accommodate vehicular traffic throughout the closure.
Questions about this closure or RoadworkNOLA should be directed to 504.658.ROAD (7623) or roadwork@nola.gov.
