A group of local pastors, community members and potential S&WB recruits recently had a tour of the Carrollton Water Purification Plant and Drainage Pumping Station 5, led by General Superintendent Joe Becker and arranged by Executive Director Cedric S. Grant.
Reverend Willie Calhoun rallied nearly two dozen young people interested in finding out more about future employment at SWB.
The attendees learned about the diverse types of career opportunities available at the Board such as chemists, machine shop operators, carpenters, painters, electrical and mechanical engineers and more.
They also were introduced to SWB’s daily operations including the water purification process and drainage pumping station operations.
