Hard Rock Construction crews are continuing work on a $2.2M full depth reconstruction project in the 800 block of St. Ann Street. The fencing around the block remains in place with the roadway closed to vehicular traffic; sidewalks are open to pedestrian traffic.
The intersection of Dauphine and St. Ann streets was temporarily reopened on July 24 while the intersection of Bourbon and St. Ann streets is closed to accommodate utility upgrades and repairs. Crews will return in mid / late August and close the Dauphine and St. Ann intersection for approximately two more weeks to resolve a utility conflict. The work in the Dauphine and St. Ann intersection will not resume until the utility upgrades and repairs are completed at Bourbon and St. Ann streets and that intersection has reopened to vehicular traffic.
The entire project is scheduled to be completed in September 2020, weather permitting. To date, crews have installed a new, upsized 24-inch drain line and new sewer line.
