Wallace C. Drennan crews began water and drain line work at the corner of Claiborne Avenue and Reynes Street in June on the Lower Ninth Ward Northwest Group B project. To remain on schedule, crews opted to work some Saturdays in June to make up for days lost due to rain.

Residents will continue to be notified of work that will impact their access and/or cause disruption to their utilities. This 5.7M project, designed by Burk–Kleinpeter, Inc., varies block by block but includes the following:

•             Installation of new subsurface drainage, sewer, and water lines;

•             Removal and replacement of sidewalks and driveways aprons;

•             Installation of Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant curb ramps at intersections;

•             Manhole adjustments; and

•             Repaving of the roadway.
