Hard Rock Construction crews are continuing work on a $2.2M full depth reconstruction project in the 800 block of St. Ann Street. The fencing around the block remains in place with the roadway closed to vehicular traffic; sidewalks are open to pedestrian traffic.
Crews have completed installing the new sewer line and are currently working on the new drain line. Once that is complete, they will begin the water main installation and subsequent tie-in and then restore the roadway. After the roadway reopens, crews will begin work on the sidewalks.
The intersection of Dauphine and St. Ann streets remains closed while crews work to resolve a conflict. Flaggers are in place at Burgundy and St. Ann streets as well as at Dumaine and Dauphine streets to direct traffic.
The entire project is scheduled to be completed in August 2020, weather permitting. To date, crews have installed a new, upsized 24-inch drain line and new sewer line.
