Boh Bros. Construction Co., LLC is currently driving 75-ft concrete piles into the bed of the North Lagoon at Joe W. Brown Memorial Park. The piles will support installation of the future bridge.
Piles are visible from the temporary pedestrian access bridge, which allows walkers, joggers and runners to continue to recreate in the park while the existing bridge is being replaced.
A $1.2M project, the pre-fabricated bridge is expected to be delivered in the summer and construction will be concluded by the end of August 2017.
The bridge is the first part of a larger investment in the park’s infrastructure. In addition to the bridge construction, the Capital Improvement Program will invest another $1.4M in the park. Patrons are reminded to use caution when walking, driving or biking near active construction sites.
