Residents should expect to see spray paint markings in the public right of way prior to excavation.
Pavement and sidewalk work may make driveways temporarily unavailable as the new surface is prepared and cures. Residents are asked to please be patient as we work to improve infrastructure conditions in your neighborhood. In general, driveway access should not be limited for more than two weeks at one time.
The scope work varies by block but includes the following types of work:
- Patch Mill / Overlay: Repaving the asphalt roadway from curb to curb and repairing damaged sidewalks;
- Patch Concrete: Removing damaged portions of the concrete roadway and replacing it with new smooth concrete pavement;
- Incidental Road Repairs: Removing damaged portions of the asphalt roadway and replacing it with new smooth pavement; and
- Non-Paving Incidentals: Repairing damaged sidewalks, driveway aprons and curbs within the public right-of-way.
The City held a public meeting to discuss the project’s construction sequencing and anticipated impacts. Learn more about the sequencing by viewing a copy of the Read Boulevard East Group A public meeting presentation.
