WORK ON STATE STREET WRAPPING UP AS PART OF THE AUDUBON GROUP A PROJECT

Boh Bros Construction Co., LLC crews continue performing underground utility work and roadway restoration on State Street as part of the $7.3M  Audubon Group A  infrastructure improvement project.  A tentative schedule for paving of the roadway is set for this month. Crews are also continuing waterline work on the 6000 block of Freret Street; traffic has been detoured and accommodations to local traffic and the bus route have been made. This block will open in June. The project is currently scheduled to be completed in summer 2021, weather permitting.

EXPANDED SCOPE SHIFTS THE COMPLETION DATE ON THE BREAKWATER DRIVE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

TKTMJ is working with the City of New Orleans to incorporate repairs to the boat launch in the Breakwater Drive improvement project. Final approval on this expanded scope is pending FEMA approval. Crews continue to work on the new parking surfaces and all work is now expected to be complete by winter 2022.

MORE WEEKEND WORK EXPECTED ON WEST END GROUP A

Beverly Construction crews will be working more weekends in an effort to wrap up work on the West End Group A project in the coming months. In close collaboration with the Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans, Beverly Construction continued waterline work on Center and 36th streets, with more areas to follow. Work on 22nd Street is in the beginning stages, with expected waterline work to be complete in May. The project remains close to 80 percent complete and anticipated to wrap up in summer 2021.

CONCRETE WORK, ROADWAY RESTORATION UNDERWAY IN NAVARRE GROUP A PROJECT

Concrete crews began forming curbs and gutter bottoms on South Park Place, and additional crews also continued working on sidewalks and driveway aprons on Central Park, South Park and Conscino streets. The binder layer of asphalt has been installed on South Park Place, Binder is one of the final layers of asphalt in the roadway restoration process.

PAVEMENT RESTORATION, SEWER LINE REPAIRS CONTINUE IN HOLLYGROVE, LEONIDAS GROUP A

Roadway removal and grading began in the 700 block of Dublin, the 1100, 2500 and 2700 blocks of Joliet Street, and the 8900 block of Nelson Street this month.  Crews also started creating the forms and prepping for concrete pours in the 3700 block of Live Oak and the 9500 block of Palm streets. Sewer line point repairs continued along Palm and Hollygrove streets, and the binder layer of asphalt was scheduled for installation in the 2600-2700 blocks of Mistletoe Street. Binder is one of the final layers of asphalt in roadway restoration.
