Construction crews from Dieudonne Enterprises, LLC started construction on the Youth Study Center Streets infrastructure improvement project in Feb. 2017. Crews began by installing protective tree fencing, traffic safety signage and setting up the worksite before excavating blocks with damaged water lines.
This $2.4 million project includes replacing damaged water lines on Cadillac St. between Senate – Harrison, Cadillac St. between Foy – Caton and also Davey St. between Milton – Davey; and repaving more than 14 blocks of roadway in either asphalt or concrete.
The project is designed to improve access to the recently built McDonogh 35 High School and the Youth Study Center. This is the second of three projects that will improve the conditions of infrastructure in the St. Bernard area.
