Lake Terrace and Oaks Group A, the first of four construction projects planned for the Lake Terrace neighborhood, began in February. The City of New Orleans contractor Palmisano Construction started by replacing damaged waterlines throughout the project – including the area at Robert E. Lee Boulevard and Hamburg Street.
This $2.4M project includes the following scope of work:
- Patching the roadway with asphalt;
- Replacing damaged portions of concrete with new, level concrete;
- Repairing damaged curbs and gutters;
- Repairing damaged sidewalks and driveway aprons;
- Installing Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant curb ramps at intersection; and
- Replacing/repairing damaged underground water and drainage lines.
Details about the construction sequencing and timeline were first made available at the pre-construction public meeting on January 31, 2018. View a copy of the public meeting presentation here.
