Command Construction Industries, LLC is currently testing the waterline on Madrid Street, while at the same time installing the waterline on Burbank Street as part of the Filmore North Group A project.
The estimated budget including engineering, design, geotechnical testing and construction planned in the entire Filmore neighborhood is approximately $67M; however, this is likely to change pending project bids and construction costs.
Designed by Professional Engineering Consultants Corporation (PEC), this first project includes some waterline replacements and variety of work that varies block by block:
- Patch Mill / Overlay: Repave the asphalt roadway from curb to curb and repair damaged sidewalks;
- Patch Concrete: Remove damaged portions of the concrete roadway and replace it with new smooth concrete pavement;
- Incidental Road Repairs: Remove damaged portions of the asphalt roadway and replace it with new smooth pavement; and
- Non-Paving Incidentals: Repair damaged sidewalks, driveway aprons and curbs within the public right-of-way.
The City hosted a pre-construction community meeting in January 2019 to discuss anticipated construction impacts. View a copy of the presentation here.
