City of New Orleans Department of Public Works contractor Hard Rock Construction Co., LLC, is scheduled to begin work on the $2.3M Pines Village Group B project in March.
The Department of Public Works is working in conjunction with the Sewerage & Water Board New Orleans (SWBNO) on the project, which may include: replacing damaged underground water, sewer and drainage lines; repaving the roadway; replacing damaged sidewalks and driveway aprons; and installing Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant curb ramps at intersections.
Blocks that will be improved include: 6300 Prentiss Avenue; 6200—6400 Ransom Street; 6100 S. Hermes Street; and 6300 Selma Street. The project is scheduled to be complete in fall 2021, weather permitting. In general, the contractor will work from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday – Friday; however, there may be delays due to weather or other circumstances that cause the contractor to work later and / or on the weekends.
