Currently, the rock base course on Davey/Milton streets is being placed. Pavement work will follow and then crews will begin replacing damaged sidewalks and driveway aprons.
Construction crews will address the conditions of Cadillac St. toward the end of the project. Following installation of the new asphalt pavement, crews will repair damaged sidewalks and driveway aprons and install American with Disabilities Act compliant curb ramps at intersections.
The $2.4M project is designed to improve access to the recently built McDonogh 35 High School and the Youth Study Center. This is the second of three projects that will improve the conditions of infrastructure in the St. Bernard area.
