Command Construction Industries, LLC crews are currently 10 percent complete with the Read Boulevard West Group A project. This is the first of two projects planned in the neighborhood.
Three construction crews are currently working on Cerise and Eunice avenues, and Donna and Charlene streets. Concrete pours are scheduled as frequently as once a week though there was a slight delay in the last couple weeks with the frequency of concrete placements. The challenge has been reconciled and residents should not experience open excavation sites for more than two weeks. View the project map noting locations of planned work in area here.
The scope work varies by block but includes the following types of work:
- Patch Mill / Overlay: Repave the asphalt roadway from curb to curb and repair damaged sidewalks;
- Patch Concrete: Remove damaged portions of the concrete roadway and replace it with new smooth concrete pavement;
- Incidental Road Repairs: Remove damaged portions of the asphalt roadway and replace it with new smooth pavement; and
- Non-Paving Incidentals: Repair damaged sidewalks, driveway aprons and curbs within the public right-of-way.
