Due to the high river, work in the Algiers Point area has been delayed until June 2019, tentatively, when water level drops below 15 feet at the Carrollton Gauge. Durr Heavy Construction Co. is currently working in the Tall Timbers-Bechtel and Old Aurora areas.

The New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center is currently reconstructing Convention Center Boulevard between Poydras and Henderson streets in the Warehouse District. The construction is part of the $557M Convention Center Development District Project that includes converting Convention Center Boulevard into a landscaped public park.

Mayor LaToya Cantrell, City and State officials, as well as neighborhood leaders celebrated completion of the S. Galvez Street Infrastructure Improvement Project with a ribbon cutting ceremony this month.

The Department of Public Works’ construction contractors are approximately 98 percent complete implementing the S. Broad Street Improvement Project between Erato Street and Tulane Avenue.

Beverly construction crews continue to make significant progress on the West End Group A  Patch Mill, Overlay and Incidental Road Repairs project. Crews have completed sidewalks and roadway paving throughout the project, including areas of 14th, 22nd and 28th streets.
