Beverly Construction crews began work on Hauk Drive as part of the Read Boulevard Group D project in April 2020 and they are now substantially complete with this street. While the roadway work is almost finished, the waterline tie in has not been completed because of the temporary moratorium on waterline tie-ins due to COVID-19.
Residents on this block impacted by the pause in waterline tie-ins continue to be provided temporary access to their driveways. Tie-in operations will resume in June. Residents will continue to be notified of work that will impact their access and/or cause disruption to their utilities.
The scope of this $3.3M Patch, Mill, Overlay and Incidental Road Repair project, designed by EJES Incorporated, varies by block but includes:
- Repaving the asphalt roadway from curb-to-curb;
- Patching the roadway with asphalt or concrete;
- Repairing damaged sidewalks and driveway aprons;
- Installing Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant curb ramps at intersections; and
- Replacing / repairing damaged underground water, sewer, and/or drainage lines.
Details of this project were first made available at the pre-construction public meeting. View a copy of the public meeting presentation and details about construction sequencing here.
