The Department of Public Works’ construction contractor, Barriere Construction Co., LLC has completed the drainage improvement project on Henry Clay Avenue between St. Charles Avenue and Hurst Street.

The $1M project included installing new drainage pipes and catch basins on Henry Clay Avenue between St. Charles Avenue and Benjamin Street and repaving the roadway with asphalt pavement. The project was also coordinated with Entergy Gas to include installation of new high pressure gas lines.

Now that the project is completed, storm water no longer pools on Henry Clay Avenue, improving quality of life for residents in District A.
